The four Royal Military College cadets who died when a vehicle they were in went into the water near the college early Friday have been identified
On Friday night, the college’s commandant, Commodore Josee Kurtz, identified the deceased as fourth-year officer cadets Jack Hogarth, Andrei Honciu, Broden Murphy and Andres Salek.
Emergency services were called to Point Frederick Drive around 2 a.m. Friday in response to a motor vehicle collision and water rescue.
“The entire RMC community is devastated by the tragic loss of four officer cadets earlier (Friday),” Kurtz said. “The principal of RMC and I extend our deepest condolences to their loved ones, and we stand to support all our Naval and Officer Cadets, their families and friends, and our personnel, as we go through this difficult time together.”
More information is to be released in the coming days, the military said on Friday.
